I've finished reading a book by Mahmood Dolatabadi called "The Empty Place of Soluch".
It's a novel happened about 50 years ago in a poor village of Iran and story starts with departure of Soluch as the man of his family and apparently finished by his arrival.
During this trip which takes about 1 year, his family faced lots of problems and Mergan, as the main character of the story, tried to solve them. She is an ordinary woman with natural potentials but there is something in her soul which pushes her forward, she MUST be there for helping others. I think she is a very good symbol of all women, working hard with no expectation of reward, giving all her properties for making her beloved happy and thinking between all disasters.
I lived with Mergan in that poor country and felt her problems. Dolatabadi is one of the best; he is a magician who can make you live 50 years ago. He feels women...
