Film Festival

Last days the Fajr Film Festival of Iran (something like the Oscar festival)was done in Tehran. Among 16 films which participated in the competitive part, the jury chose the best ones. I was watching this ceremony by TV. Comparing it with foreign festivals, it has lots of weaknesses. First of all the place of it, actually the old Vahdat hall is called Vahshat hall (meaning a dangerous place in Persian). Second the useless regulations of reviewing films by a committee before the competition which force directors to cut some parts of their films. Third the dependency of this festival to the government which results in the parallel ceremony called" The Cinema Home Ceremony".
Beside these, I really love Parviz Parastooe's techniques of playing. He's again the best.

Your English is very good, I find it heartening that someone from Iran has such an interesting and open-minded blog.

I hope the current troubles find a quick a peacable resolution.
