Penguins could be symbol of different thing. You may look at one of them and remember the cold land of North Pole, but I have a friend who is living in Germany and her daughter, always after seeing a penguin, remembers women of Iran who are wearing Chador (an Islamic cloth for hiding women shape and unfortunately it's in black, so it seems like a penguin is walking, if you are looking at one of them from her behind.)

Morning laugh

In the mornings when we come to work, there is a very bad traffic jam. It makes minutes very valuable because 5 minutes delay makes about 20 minutes out of time to reach work.
Today I was in the taxi when we saw the car is broken dawn at the middle of very crowded highway. Poor driver tried to fix the problem but it was more than he imagined, so he apologized us and asked to get off and find some other cars. We were 3 women and 1 man. The driver asked that man to help him to push the car to the side of highway, but he didn't respond. Every car were horning and it was a bad situation so again the driver asked that man to stop other cars to help him lead the car to the side but again he didn't accept. I was shocked and angry of that man. I went and help him by stopping other cars to lead his car to the side. Then I went and took another taxi but that man sit behind me. When we wanted to get off, his coat was between the door and he didn't noticed, so it was torn. It was very funny seeing that man with a distorted coat wondering what to do in the middle of street.
I think if he had helped that driver he wouldn't face such a problem :D

Possibility of war

These days, times and again, I’ve heard about the possibility of USA attacks to the nuclear sites of Iran in the near future and it’s awkward to know that everybody are inviting their friends to store cans of food for the hard coming future.
I hope all of this news is rumors but due to the political situation of Iran and the time of USA attack to Iraq 3 years ago, which was about Norouz, it makes me frightened about the future.
We Iranian people have the bad experience of Iran-Iraq war. Almost after 17 years of finishing that war we can still see the remains of it which are not repairable, so a new war for no result is very stupid and deteriorating for poor people who never benefits of any kind of war.

Bird Flu !!!

After mad cow disease which had a serious affect on the economy of European and Fareast countries now we see another uncontrollable epidemic which is spreading all over the world and is called Bird Flu.
Up to now less than 100 people were killed out of it and if the governments don't manage hard restrictions for local birds it can even become more dangerous.
We have a relative who like chickens alot and every time take care of some of them but not in a wide area, as it should be, but in her house roof!!! Of course it's not healthy but they don't have enough room for chickens so she is doing it.
Yesterday she phoned and she was crying. She said one of the neighbors had come and warned her if she doesn't kill the birds she will call the health center and now she was getting depressed. From her point of view it was hard to get rid of those lovely birds but due to the new condition there isn't any other way out. I talked her and tried to convince her doing it, she admitted she should do it, but at the end I was thinking why we turned our lives so difficult which even we can't turn back to the past.

A reminder

I have a good friend who is very honorable for me, whenever he is depressed or angry, from the first glance; I feel it and regret why I can't help him taking over his problems. Till now, passing the time was the cure. Maybe it makes him feel alone and then coming back to the society makes him feel better; or maybe it's the way we think about it and it has other reasons.
But whatever the reason is, and how depressed he becomes out of his problems, I want to make him sure that his friends are always thinking about him and all the times he can count on their helps.
No one is alone in this big world; you should try to find your mate.

Hey birds, Where is your other legs?!!!

Pretending hungry

Last Friday a real disaster happened for me. Mehrdad & I were eating lunch very relaxly and enjoy my mother delicious cooking when suddenly his phone rang and we found that his sister is waiting for us to serve the lunch. Yes, we had forgotten their invitation for lunch and already had eaten meal. But it wasn't polite to tell them about the mistake, so rapidly we dressed and go there. Obviously they had lots of meals and expected us to eat from all of them but I was totally full and each spoon I was gulping was like a real torture for me. I don't remember how those damn minutes passed but I just remember the feeling of pretending hungry although we were not. I confess that for this matter I found no way to be frank and I suffered the result.

Kurit

Yesterday I was watching a documental film about the highest dam in the world for the longest time, 750 years, which this great architecture work was done by ancient Iranians in Tabas many years ago and named Kurit.
Kurit is really special thing done by Iranian years ago which is admired even now after the advent of new technologies. It has some unique specifications which you can't see them regularly. In my opinion the most interesting fact about it is the good material used in it's fundamental. You know there was a great earthquake in Tabas; magnitude about 7.8; but no damage to the dam and it's nice to know this tallest dam has the thickest crest among the world's dams.
Nowadays lots of dams are built all over the world and most of the best ones are in USA, but none of them have the history of 750 years of being the tallest dam and none of them have passed the test of this measure earthquake.
We, Iranian, can be honor of our precious history.

...Time

Sometimes you like to force time pass very quickly…
When you do something wrong or hurt someone intentionally or unconsciously or get some bad news, usually passing the time is the cure. It's in human beings that can forget everything very easily to adapt themselves with the new situations.
Last night when I heard one of my friends is angry with me for a misunderstanding I just wish it was next week when I can meet her and prove myself.
Sometimes you like to force time pass very quickly…

Another story

The grandfather of Ben Mandelson; the famous German musician; was a very ugly, hunchback, short man.
One day he saw the daughter of a businessman who was very beautiful. From the first glance he felt in love with her and decided to reach to her. But girl didn't pay any attention to him; actually he was very ugly and around that angel was full of handsome and rich gentlemen who want to get her.
One day when he was very depressed he decided to meet his last chance and went for his last visit.
The girl even didn't head up to look at him. He started:" Do you know in everyone's destiny it's written that who is going to be your spouse? At the moment of giving birth to each boy, God dedicates who will be his wife"
Girl said: "OK, What do you want to say?"
Mandelson answered:" When I was coming to this world God showed me my wife, but she was hunchback. I asked God to give her ugly shape to me and make her as beautiful as he can. Because it's very bad for a girl to have an ugly shape but it's not that bad for men."
Girl thought what would happen if that man hadn't asked God for her beauty and lived with him forever.

Valentine

Tomorrow is Valentine day, 14th February. In the recent years this day become very important for Iranian youth and most of them know the date but not the reason of calling this day as the lovers one.
As far as I know, once upon a time there was a cruel king ruling Rome years ago. He only intends to fight other countries and never bring peace for his men. But the soldiers were tired of fighting for no reason and started complaining about it. King thought the reason might be their love for their wives, fiancées and girl friends so he ratified a rule which forbids any kind of marriage in that land. There was a churchman, Sir Valentine, who makes marriages in hidden places. But when the king found that, he killed him on 14th February. Because of the effort of Sir Valentines for nearing the loves together this day is called the lover's day.
But I still have doubt if this day is as famous in other countries as it is in Iran.
Anyway, if you are living in Iran don't forget to give a gift to your beloved ones :D( Dear Mehrdad ,listen please.)

Privacy

Every society has two sides: public and private. Members of that society, depends on the situation they are in, choose their method of membership. These sides are separated and any kind of interfering will cause problems.
The private side should be the most secure one to make the feeling of privacy for the owners. When people think their privacy is not intact any more, they won't play their role properly in the public.
Unfortunately these days lots of attacks to this privacy lines are happening. We can start counting from filtering of internet, continue with making Hejab mandatory in country and end with directly interfering of public members (inquisitive ones) to the privacy. Imagine after those happenings what feelings you will have.

.... Danish cartoons

I was reading your comments and found some ideas about the post Danish cartoons. I think after reading my blog you will find my idea about Iran governors so I won't explain it again. Some of you views were correct, yes, because we don't have enough democracy in Iran and our leaders don't believe in Jews right's of live and they deny Holocaust (which I don't have any exact information about it, so I don't judge it) and usually say down to this country and that country, so they are not correct. And I don't want to turn talking about Muslims and Jews, it's a bone of contention between Palestinians and Israeli ,I think it's their problems and other Muslim countries shouldn't interfere in it(again consisting it's my own idea), and something else ,again you are right. We have some pictures of Holy Mohammad in Tehran stores which none of them shows him as a terrorist of course!!!
But what I just want to say on that post was the beauty of nation's unity to gain their requests. This is the real power which doesn't need gaining nuclear weapons even.

Danish Cartoons

After the story of printing those defending cartoons against holy prophet Mohammad first in Danish papers and then in the European ones , all the Muslim countries start some protests against them, these voices was very weak at the start but become more strong after joining most of the countries to it. Actually at first they only do rebel acts such as firing the Denmark flag or breaking the glasses of their embassy just to show their anger.
But yesterday BBC was showing the new phase of clash by showing Arabian malls which at first were full of Danish things but after it they removed all of them from the rows. It's interesting to know that those delicious Nescafe by Nestle copmany are removed too. It's said that up to now about 90,000,000 $ is the average detriment of Denmark and it's increasing now.
… And the noticeable point is that, although all these arguments had happened, none of the Danish governors has accepted to apologize the Muslim out of their self admiration. Maybe if the Muslims keep their unity forever they never let themselves do such again.

The Egyptian Ferry

Last days we heard the bad news about that Egyptian ferry which sank in the Red Sea. I think you all know about the number of survived and lost people, more than 400 people were survived and about 800 are with no information in the files.
We know the story about that gigantic, nice, modern ferry called Titanic which sank in the ocean about 100 years ago. At that time it wasn't much wired to have such number of rescued people but nowadays with the advent of lots of communication tools for the vehicles it's not believable that there weren't any external aid available for the ferry after the fire happened. Those poor victims were Hajj pilgrims, God bless all of them.

The natural world law, the weakest lives are for the strongest. If you want to continue, you should increase your level, the others are just improving and won't stay for you.
By the way, this snake is just eating lunch, the poor bird should be more careful.

We got old

We have a relative, an old man, who had a little surgery 3 days ago and was in hospital. Yesterday I was talking with his wife and asking about his health condition. She said hospital had sent him home. I was happy and said congratulations for his return to the family. But surprisingly she said she had asked hospital to take care of him for more days but they didn't accept. I was totally confused. She cleared it by saying that because he doesn't do doctor precautions at home and just walk and talk and does whatever he like, she was worried about his stitches and asked so, a lime reason.
From this point of view hospital was going to act as a prison to not let him does bad actions.
First it was funny but turned to a sad fact for me: Gone is the time when old people had special respects. Now when we are old, the others will take our independency. We don't have enough power so we should do as they order.

Deppressed

Atlast Iran is reported to the Security Council,27 countries were agree, 3 were disagree and 5 were null, not a bad statistic for making a sever decision against a country who is rulled by ....
just sigh.......

Again Iran

"Beneath the mystery, beyond the history." This is a slogan inviting people to visit Iran, showed by BBCWorld channel everyday.
The interesting point is the contrast of this advertisement with the pictures of real Iran they are showing. When world people are looking at Persepolis remaining or Ghashghai rug-maker women or Naghshe Jahan square , at first glance they think they are faced with a modern civilization with intellectual people, but when they saw that damn pictures of Iran leader, president and other governors who are trying to put all the world in the war for their selfish requests, they accept their mistake and think like before and never come to visit Iran.

Thank God this year we have a lucky coincident of Moharam and Fajr decades. We will suffer of their programs for just one 10-day not two 10-days like before.

…. And something else. Today I was reading your comments and see that I've made a bad mistake, yes you are right .It should be little prince not a princess. But it was so natural to have a little princess beside the real little prince so maybe it's the reason that after one week just one person fined the mistake.

Film Festival

Last days the Fajr Film Festival of Iran (something like the Oscar festival)was done in Tehran. Among 16 films which participated in the competitive part, the jury chose the best ones. I was watching this ceremony by TV. Comparing it with foreign festivals, it has lots of weaknesses. First of all the place of it, actually the old Vahdat hall is called Vahshat hall (meaning a dangerous place in Persian). Second the useless regulations of reviewing films by a committee before the competition which force directors to cut some parts of their films. Third the dependency of this festival to the government which results in the parallel ceremony called" The Cinema Home Ceremony".
Beside these, I really love Parviz Parastooe's techniques of playing. He's again the best.
