Postponing

We have a colleague at work who aimed to do a project by today. It was planned almost 2 months ago and he supposed to organize his time by this time. I clearly remember his first of project, he came to us and asked about his requirements. Every one guided him as much as he can ,then we thought he will do our advises and story is finished. But surprisingly yesterday( one day before his project dead time) he came and asked about the requirements!!! It means that during this 2 months he was away and now only less than 24 hours left. He was nervous and just asking everyone to help. The image was so funny, even though he promised to stay at work all night to complete it but i doubt about a clear success. I think today he should accept the blame and try to work more seriously.
His behavior somehow exists in all of us. When we have enough time we delay it for another time and when we reached to the end then try to do it as fast as possible, it means just a work done but not accurate and well-done.
